The MIC Story
In the Beginning
A long, long time ago (2005, to be exact), in a galaxy far, far away (OK, it was Wisconsin), Meetings Industry Consulting (MIC) was born to proud owner
Vicky Betzig, CMP (that's me in the picture). After more than two decades in a variety of positions in the meetings and hospitality
industries, it was time to put the knowledge and expertise I had gained to work to bring elevated success to other meeting organizations, supplier businesses and hospitality companies.
MIC in Time-Out
2011 I was offered my dream job as Director of Meetings & Events at PCMA (Professional Convention
Management Association) - MIC’s largest client - working with legends like Deborah Sexton and Kelly Peacy. In 2014, I was on to my next big adventure as Director of Client Services with Visit Anaheim, a position that allowed me to work with a great team in a first class event destination.
MIC is BAAACK
In 2017 the time felt right to resurrect MIC with a renewed focus on sharing the principles and tools gained from my long and varied industry experience to help advance other organizations' success.
